This Status Report is a mapping of existing gender and renewable energy frameworks in the SADC region. It is a reference resource aimed to support SADC Member States with relevant knowledge on how to create conditions that promote gender mainstreaming in the renewable energy sector. It draws on effective practices from East and West Africa for SADC to consider when developing and or implementing their renewable energy frameworks.
